Jolene Armendariz
Jolene was born in Los Angeles and raised in Hemet, California. A lifelong athlete, she discovered her passion for basketball in high school after competing in more than ten different sports. Jolene went on to play at San Francisco State University and La Salle University, later continuing her career professionally with the San Francisco Riptide. She is currently pursuing her overseas basketball career while growing her business as a financial advisor.
Fun fact: Jolene grew up on a ranch surrounded by animals and started competing on horseback at just five years old.
Brooklyn Jackson
Originally from Bakersfield, CA, Brooklyn is now living in Santa Rosa after attending Sonoma State University. Volleyball literally reeled her in from the first time she played, and she was never able to separate herself from the sport after that. Currently, she is working as an EMT in order to receive patient care experience before applying to school to become a Physician Assistant. She is also coaching because she wants to be there for girls who burn with passion for volleyball, making sure they know there is no limit beyond the sky.
Fun fact: A giraffe once sneezed in her face at a petting zoo. 🦒
Sophie Rodriguez
Sophie is a Temecula resident and proud graduate of Sonoma State University, where she competed in Cross Country and Track and Field, served as a Vice President on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and worked as a student assistant in the Office of Alumni Engagement. Currently, she is pursuing her Ed.S. in School Psychology at California Baptist University, working toward her goal of serving students in the public school system and fostering collaborative and supportive learning environments.
Fun Fact: When she is not studying or mentoring, she enjoys meditative walks in nature, yoga, and practicing tai chi and qigong to maintain balance and mindfulness in her daily life.
Devon Jackson
Devon is from Dublin, California, and is a San Francisco State Men’s Basketball alumnus who graduated in 2025. He is currently working as a player development coach and trainer, blending his passion for basketball, sports development, media communication, and education. Devon is thankful for the opportunity to help others on their journeys through his own experiences and to support people in growing both on and off the court.
Fun fact: Jazz music relaxes his mind.
